D&C 121:45-46

45 Let thy ^abowels also be full of charity towards all men, and to the household of faith, and let ^bvirtue garnish thy thoughts unceasingly; then shall thy ^cconfidence wax strong in the ^dpresenceof God; and the doctrine of the priesthood shall distil upon thy soul as the ^edews from heaven.

"It talks about if we keep our thoughts virtuous and if we serve others then our confidence will come from God.

On top of that it talks about our eternal blessings and abilities to control that which is around us.

We as humans just want to be able to control our circumstances and outcomes. In all the other kingdoms of glory, we will still be controlled in some sort either by the limitations that we can do in the long term or what have you - but if we keep the commandments, which are related to the above thoughts, then we will control our destinies in the celestial kingdom."
